The FSE Board convened in an unseasonably warm Munich last week (25th to 26th October) with a view to tackling some of the most pressing issues and action points that arose from the European Football Fans Congress in Lisbon. The meeting was kindly hosted by Club Nr. 12 e. V, an association of active FC Bayern München fans and a long-standing member of our network.

Earlier this year, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced controversial plans to change the format of the Supercopa de España for the 2019/20 season. In a recent letter addressed to UEFA, Football Supporters Europe and the Feyenoord Rotterdam supporters’ umbrella organisation FSV De Feijenoorder expressed their concern about the organisation of the UEFA Europa League qualifying fixture between FC Dinamo Tbilisi and Feyenoord Rotterdam, which took place at the Boris Paichadze Stadium on the evening of 15th August, 2019.

The first strategic meeting of OUT! will take place on Friday 6th September, 2019, at the London Stadium, home to West Ham United Football Club. The event will be attended by the main partners of the initiative—Pride in Football (PiF), Fußballfans gegen Homophobie (FFGH), the Royal Belgian Football Association (KBVB/URBSFA), and Football Supporters Europe—and advisory board members.

The transnational network meeting, or workshop, will be hosted on 7th September as part of the PiF annual meeting. Participants from Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Poland and Belgium will contribute to the OUT! workshop, sharing experiences and good practice. OUT! aims to fight homophobia and empower LGBT+ stakeholders, and the workshop will look at how to achieve these aims by working with fans.
