Over the weekend of 15th-17th February, the FSE Committee convened in Amsterdam to discuss issues affecting football fans across the continent. The meeting took place in the Johan Cruijff Arena, thanks to the hospitality of Supportersvereniging Ajax, one of our longest standing members.

The first subject on the agenda was the rights of supporters who attend Europa League and Champions League fixtures—especially those who travel away. The Committee considered hosting conditions, security, and ticket prices, using the data produced by the Away Fans Survey as a reference point.

The Committee also reviewed preparations for EURO 2020, with regards to both UEFA and host cities, as well as the Fans’ Embassies. Much time was dedicated to the latter because the novel format of the competition means they will operate slightly differently than before.

Arrangements for the 10th FSE European Football Fans Congress (#EFFC19), which will be held in Lisbon from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th July 2019, also featured heavily. The event is fast approaching, so the Committee examined the programme, venue, travel, and plans for the Biennial General Meeting in detail.

Our Erasmus+ Sport project, ‘OUT!’, was discussed, too. The launch will take place in the spring of this year and will run for a period of eighteen months.

The next Committee meeting is scheduled for before the EFFC.
